My work is deeply personal, a manifestation of what I hold dear. By using my own family’s traditions and rituals, the plants and animals of my garden and the Indiana forests, and the iconography of daily life I seek to make art accessible and engaging for everyone. Whether it is the stylized imagery of nature, like lightning bugs and lilacs, or the prescription pill bottle, I invite the viewer to make their own connections to memory and place. Each piece is made to act in service to someone else. They are decorative and more, meant to be worn, touched, picked up, shared. People bring the pieces to life.
