Andrea Rosales-Balcarcel

Born in Guatemala City, Andrea Rosales-Balcarcel migrated to the United States with her family as a child. With a desire to pursue a career in the arts, Andrea chose to attend Pratt Institute in 2012, for a BFA in Jewelry and a minor in Art History.

Since graduating from Pratt, she has had the opportunity to participate in multiple international shows, including LOOT: Mad About Jewelry in New York City, in 2017, Artistar Jewels in Milan, 2018, and the 2019 Guan Tong-International Jewelry Art Exhibition in Beijing, China.

Now based out of New Jersey, she continues to develop her work as an artist, using jewelry as a means to explore the relationship between environment and identity, illustrating individual experiences and stories to further research and document identity and space.
