L. A. PAI GALLERY

Lisa A. Pai​, ​director and owner of L. A. Pai Gallery since 2000​, is an art dealer​ and curator with a passion for discovering and promoting contemporary Canadian artists to an international audience. Her focus is to present new inventive ideas and daring experiments, foregrounding artists who use the past and their ethnic background to produce future alternative ideas.
Situated near Ottawa’s National Gallery of Canada in the historic Byward Market, L. A. Pai Gallery focuses on sculpture and jewellery from across the country, including the far north.
Strong emerging artists are introduced alongside established artists who include Governor General Award laureates, two of whom were nominated by Pai.
L. A. Pai has placed artworks in major public and private collections around the world, and founded the National Jewellery Student Competition that is now in its 18th year.

Co-curator Lynn Feasey, founder and principal of Points North Creative, is a cultural exhibit designer and independent curator. has produced a number of high profile cultural events and exhibitions, including Canada's Northern House, for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, NWT Days for Winterlude (2013-2015), Great Northern Arts Festival, and the Adäka Cultural Festival (2017/2018). Points North has worked with the Governments of the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Alberta (Indigenous Relations) as well as the Federal Government of Canada (Dept of Indigenous and Northern Affairs), on a variety of strategies and cultural presentation projects.
