Robin Erfe’s designs and creative process is founded on a love for creating beauty and adorning the body in elegance while being influenced by both the twist of nature and the city. Beginning as a child building from cardboard, plastic from discarded envelopes, collecting rocks, working with beads, she ended up in the Bench Jewelers Program at Studio Jewelers, Ltd in NYC. Here she found a love in manipulation of metal. Melting metal is a manifestation of exploring life in all its twisted magnificence and beauty. Based in Brooklyn, Robin focuses on handcrafted techniques, creating one of a kind pieces and limited edition collections. Her work showcases hand fabricated chains, love for hand hammered fringe and textured metal. Precious, semi-precious stones, and various interesting finds from the Earth sourced from small business stone cutters are also incorporated in her work. Robin’s studio companion is Coco, a sassy and divine creature, along with a strong brewed cup of café con leche, a rotating selection of salsa dura, dembow, soul, and rock ‘N’ Roll, within walls covered with poems and doodles aka sketches, being constantly revised at any given moment.
