Pallavi Verma

Coming from a background of traditional Indian goldsmiths, Pallavi moved to Europe at the age of 19 to pursue a BA & MA Degree from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp in Jewellery Design & Gold and Silver Smithing. Pallavi’s work involves personal experiences from both eastern and western culture. Jewellery for her is about hidden revelations, the exploration of boundaries, emotions and identities. Her work aims to take jewellery beyond expectations by creating interactive pieces, through which she tries to involve or touch the wearer and the observer physically and psychologically. In 2018 Pallavi started her own jewellery brand, journey from being an art graduate to making a living through art and how to remain relevant to the present times.

Her 1st Jewellery Collection was inspired by nature “The Marks of Maturity” and shortlisted for the MASTERS IN CREATIVITY 2017 International Jewellery Design Contest. In 2019-20 she was awarded 2nd prize at the MIC International Jewelry Design Contest. In 2021 she won remote Viewer’s Choice award twice held by AdornAxis, New York City. In 2023-24 she is one of the honourees of the “One for the Future” award by New York City jewellery week. Pallavi has been invited to give lectures at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, the Vogue Institute of Art & Design and the Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery. Her work has been displayed at Galerie Marzee in the Netherlands and in Museums in Portugal, Japan, USA and Russia.
