Rocky Pardo Jewelry
Rocky Pardo Jewelry
Rocky Pardo finds inspiration for jewelry in the harmonic opposites of the materials. She manipulates metal into miniature, wearable skyscapes sprinkled with gold dust, moondust, and estrellas that pay homage to her split roots in both the Midwest and Spain. The skies are a common motif in her work, bringing together the journey between one home to another. She has been working with metal since 2006, earned her BFA in Metalsmithing in 2014, and started Rocky Pardo Jewelry in 2016. She creates mixed precious metal jewelry using a variety of techniques including hand fabrication, alloying, reticulation, fusing, keum boo, and stone setting. Rocky's designs are fueled by the desire to strike a balance between the rough and refined to create effortlessly elegant pieces that are comfortable and easy to wear. Using ethically sourced silver, gold, her own mixed precious metal alloys, and various gemstones, Rocky merges craftsmanship and attention to detail to produce dainty, but durable designs that let anyone rock their sparkle. You can find her at juried art shows across the United States, and at her home studios in the St. Louis and Pensacola area.
