Angelo Jones is a Barbadian born designer. after receiving a scholarship, he immigrated to the United States in 2013 to pursue an education in Architecture at Parsons The New School of Design. During the course of his studies he developed an affinity for materiality within the discipline of architecture. He began to use material exploration as a form of small scale experiments in design principles and more importantly as a form of self expression. It was through these explorations and a rigorous iterative process that his love for jewelry design emerged.  Since his first piece Angelo’s work has had at its core, the values of accessibility, availability and uncompromisingly daring design. His work obsesses over material connection and detail incorporated into motifs present in his Caribbean home-country. Guided by principles of architectural design as well as acts of whimsy, his work celebrates these connections and embraces the non-traditional.  His work was first featured in the Blk x Design designer showcase during the 2018 NYC X Design Festival. More recently his work in conjunction with B-KD Architecture was featured in a COVID Relief charity auction by Storefront for Art and Architecture (2020)
