The NYC Jewelry Week Code of Conduct affirms our commitment to ensuring that NYC Jewelry Week programs and events are a safe and respectful space for all. It reinforces NYC Jewelry Week’s values – authenticity, equity, education, inclusivity, sustainability, democracy, and joy. We believe in treating each other with respect in all of our interactions.

All hosts, partners, attendees, sponsors, staff, and volunteers participating in NYC Jewelry Week programs or events, whether in-person or virtual must review and agree to the Code of Conduct. This affirms their commitment to creating a safe and respectful NYC Jewelry Week experience for all.

The Code of Conduct is an integral part of participating in NYC Jewelry Week. The Code of Conduct requires all NYC Jewelry Week participants to:

  1. Refrain from using words, actions and behaviour – in any medium – that demonstrate disrespect for other participants, attendees, sponsors, staff and/or volunteers.
  2. Be vigilant in ensuring an environment that is safe and protects other participants, attendees, sponsors, staff and/or volunteers from emotional, physical, verbal and sexual abuse.
  3. Respect and abide by the laws of the United States of America and of the relevant City and/or State.
  4. Treat other participants, attendees, sponsors, staff and/or volunteers, knowing that NYC Jewelry Week does not tolerate unlawful discrimination on the basis of gender identity or gender expression, age, race, national or ethnic origin, citizenship, colour, religion (or lack thereof), sex, age, mental or physical ability, political beliefs, socio-economic status, health-related status, sexual orientation or preference, marital status, physical appearance including body size, or any other grounds enumerated in the human rights legislation of the jurisdiction in which the individuals involved are located.

NYC Jewelry Week reserves the right to take action regarding any breach of the Code of Conduct.
