Now, over to you, Eliane!

Today, I want to share with you my perspective on iconic pieces that hold a special place in my heart. These are more than mere objects; they are timeless expressions of beauty, elegance, and meaning. Join me on this journey as I share a few of my favorite treasures.

Johannes Vermeer Girl with a Pearl Earring 1665. Mauritshuis, The Hague.

Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer

Dating back to the Dutch Golden Age in 1665, Johannes Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring” is a masterpiece that epitomizes simple elegance. The magic of this painting lies in the masterful brushstrokes that bring the pearl to life, creating a work of art that is immediately recognizable and awe-inspiring. The play of light in this piece is nothing short of otherworldly, making it my all-time favorite painting.

My Grandfather’s Antique Ring

A piece that transcends generations, my Portuguese maternal grandfather’s ring is over 90 years old. Originally designed for a man, this 18K gold and ruby ring has traveled from Lisbon to Sao Paulo and finally found its way to me in Toulouse. Wearing it feels like destiny, as it fits me perfectly. This ring is not just a piece of jewelry; it’s a tangible connection to my family’s history and a symbol of enduring love.

The Zaha ring by Sauer pays homage to the legendary architect Zaha Hadid. With hypnotizing curves and clean, modern lines, this piece is a tribute to architectural excellence. Conceived by Stephanie Wenk, the brand’s creative director, the Zaha ring is a perfect fusion of art and jewelry, capturing the essence of its inspirational source.

Diane von Furstenberg by H. Stern Sutra bracelet

The collaboration between Diane von Furstenberg and H. Stern resulted in the Sutra bracelet—a true embodiment of quiet luxury. The chunky links, buttery gold, and exceptional movement make it a classic piece. Engraved with inspirational inscriptions like freedom, knowledge, creativity, harmony, laughter, and love, this bracelet is not just a statement of style but a reminder of the values that truly matter.

A gorgeous 18ct yellow gold Templar band ring by Elizabeth Gage featuring four oval cabochon tourmalines alternating blue-green with pink. A round brilliant-cut diamond is set between each stone with gold bead detailing.

Elizabeth Gage MBE Rings

Elizabeth Gage’s timeless, empowering, and bold designs are a testament to her mastery of craftsmanship. Her rings, in particular, stand out as shields of strength and statement pieces that elevate the wearer. The incredible use of materials, gems, and colors makes each piece a work of art that exudes confidence and character.

These iconic pieces are more than just accessories; they are reflections of personal stories, inspirations, and timeless beauty. I invite you to explore the world of these treasures and find pieces that speak to your soul, just as these have spoken to mine.
