Orsolya Karman is the founder and creative force behind Karman Jewelry, a contemporary designer brand celebrated for its bold, innovative, and experimental approach to wearable art. With a background in graphic design and visual arts, she brings a distinctive artistic sensibility to her work, crafting modern statement pieces that seamlessly combine precision, craftsmanship, and conceptual depth.
She holds a Master of Arts in Visual Communication, specializing in Graphic Design, from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME). Orsolya began her career as an Art Director, spending over a decade honing her skills in visual storytelling, conceptual thinking, and aesthetic design—foundations that now shape her unique approach to jewelry.
In 2012, driven by a lifelong passion for fashion, form, and artistic experimentation, Orsolya founded Karman Jewelry. Her creative ethos combines experimental techniques, playful concepts, and refined craftsmanship. By merging laser-cutting technology with innovative materials, she redefines jewelry as a medium of personal expression, blending contemporary aesthetics with wearable art. The brand is defined by geometric precision, architectural influences, and minimalist elegance, reflecting Orsolya’s deeply rooted design philosophy.

Karman Jewelry unites cutting-edge techniques with traditional handcrafting, producing limited-edition pieces that are exclusive, expressive, and technically refined. Every piece is assembled by hand, ensuring both precision and character. Beyond aesthetics, the collections are guided by visual storytelling and conceptual exploration, transforming contemporary design into sculptural, wearable art.

A defining example of Orsolya’s innovative approach is her collaboration with illustrator and visual artist Käthe Schönle, resulting in the NEW DIMENSION collection. Schönle’s layered screen prints, with vibrant colors and dynamic forms, are translated into three-dimensional jewelry. Orsolya transforms these flat compositions into sculptural, wearable objects, preserving their artistic essence while adding bold, playful, and tactile dimensions. NEW DIMENSION epitomizes the intersection of art, design, and personal expression, creating a new visual space where craftsmanship and creativity converge.

In 2025, she received the INHORGENTA Award at the 6th edition of Romanian Jewelry Week, recognizing her innovative contributions to contemporary jewelry design. She will present her latest pieces in February 2026 in Munich.
