Andrea Rosales-Balcarcel

Born in Guatemala City, and now based in Jersey City, Andrea Rosales-Balcarcel attended Pratt Institute in 2012, for a BFA in Jewelry and a minor in Art History.
During her years attending school in NYC, Andrea formed a fascination with the relationship between identity and environment, a concept she continues to explore beyond her thesis collection, “Walking Manhattan”.
Her current work applies former processes of documentation of narratives through the use of watercolors to address the current sociopolitical climate developing throughout the United States.
Since graduating from Pratt, she has had the opportunity to participate in multiple international shows, including LOOT: Mad About Jewelry in New York City (2017), as well as in Artistar Jewels in Milan (2018).
