Jade Mellor

Jade Mellor’s jewellery connects us to nature in our daily life. Raw yet refined, her textures evoke fossils and mineral structures. Bold, hand sculpted designs are inspired by dramatic landscapes, ancient mosaics or tiny armoured caddisfly cases. They are designed with comfort in mind to feel as good as they look so they can adorn and protect us as organic armour.

Jade grew up in rural Cheshire inheriting a deep appreciation for nature and craft from both parents. Her mum’s childhood in a tiny thatched cottage in the woods and her father’s antique tools as a cabinet maker imbued Jade with a love of creating.

Jade studied 3D design at Manchester School of Art, researching geological specimens in Manchester Museum before moving to North London with Hampstead Heath on her doorstep and London’s Natural History Museum collections as her favourite resource. Jade works in bronze, recycled gold, silver and ethically sourced gemstones, also recycling client’s old jewellery into sentimental pieces.

At Collect 2026 at London’s Somerset House Jade presented a new collection of oversized brooches and is currently showing her signature collection at Yorkshire Sculpture Park until 18th October and The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle for their Summer Show until 6th September. Jade will be showing at the brand new event Manchester Jewellery Week for the exhibition “I Wanna Be Adorned” 10-16th September and she will be showing new one of a kind pieces at Dazzle during the Edinburgh Fringe festival in August and Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair in Manchester 15-18th October. Jade's collection can be found in person throughout the year at Gill Wing Jewellery London where she is a resident jeweller.
