Emma Brooke Jewelry

Emma Brooke Jewelry is the work of Portland-based designer and goldsmith Emma Rose.
Rose blends engineering and wonder to create kinetic fine jewelry designed around a simple invitation: look closer. Each piece is engineered as carefully as it is designed, with hidden mechanics built into fine jewelry forms. Moving elements that roll, spin, or shift with the wearer's body, or quiet details that interrupt us from the momentum of a distracted day. In a world engineered to demand our attention, she hopes her work can invite us to slow down, pause and notice.

When attention meets curiosity, we remember how to play.

Rose is a self-taught metalsmith. She often jokes that she was "supposed to" become an engineer, but fell in love with art instead — before pursuing jewelry, she actually studied biomedical engineering. Having long felt pulled between the worlds of science and art, she discovered in metalsmithing a way to weave together both halves of her mind. That technical background and imagination shows up in her studio practice still: every piece starts with curiosity and a question, for her to create, test, and rebuild until her vision works.

Rose also designs engagement rings, bands, and other fine jewelry built on the same instinct for detail, touch, and the belief that slowing down enough to notice something small is its own kind of luxury. Across her work, kinetic or not, the common thread is curiosity: an inventive, playful approach to traditional fine jewelry.

This summer, Emma Brooke Jewelry is launching a new series of charms and pendants, expanding on her signature Orbit motif. Each piece features a tiny rolling bearing, cut from gem or metal, orbiting the perimeter of a gemstone. A tiny playful detail, hidden in plain sight. A reminder that jewelry can mark moments, and also move with us into the future.

Let’s Play.
