SOFI par Sophie Bélanger

Sophie Bélanger is a contemporary jewelry artist from Quebec City, Canada. Her artistic research is essentially inspired by her personal perceptions and feelings about the events she encounters in her life. It's through working with matter that color springs forth, giving birth to the shapes and structures that bear witness to the quest that shapes her personality. By contrasting, juxtaposing and assembling color fibers, she creates metaphors that contribute to the narrative of the jewel. Through her work, the viewer plunges into a playful universe where color is omnipresent and has a meaning and influence on the creation of her characters. It is through her universe that she invites us into a world as colorful as it is intriguing.
