With a background in the arts, and a lifetime in fashion, Lana Ogilvie has developed an eye for style that goes beyond the current trend.  Starting as a teen, Lana was a regular face in the pages of Vogue, Elle, and Bazaar. She was the first ethnic model on the cover of C’lin D’Oeil and Flare magazines, Canada. She was the first ethnic model to sign an exclusive contract with Cover Girl Cosmetics. Lana was also a sought after Runway model for celebrated designers such as Azzedine Alaia, Gianfranco Ferre, John Galliano, and Issey Miyake. Her sense of style really developed working one on one with these inspirational designers. In high school, Lana studied illustration and print making, during a three hour Saturday studio, at the Art Gallery of Ontario, Canada’s leading art museum. She furthered her Fine Art studies majoring in Illustration at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, while continuing with her modeling career. The move into jewelry was born from that creative need. After training to be a bench jeweler, Lana started Sabre Jewelry a line of handmade jewelry. ‘I think that as an artist, there is constantly a need to create, and release creative energy.”  Sabre Jewelry is handmade in New York City.
